About Our Choir
806 Voices is a community centered choir serving 4th-12th grade vocalists from our area. We exist to give young singers the chance to rehearse, perform, and compete in a supportive and enriching musical environment.
Our mission is to nurture young vocalists through meaningful musical opportunities that inspire learning, foster friendship, and build confidence. We believe that music is a powerful tool for growth, both on and off the stage.
At the heart of 806 Voices are our core values:
Connection
Our aim is to build strong relationships and foster a sense of belonging within our choir and between our choir and community.
Experiences
We value providing each vocalist with opportunities to build experiences that contribute to their personal growth, happiness, and wisdom.
Education
In our choir program, we are committed to continuous learning, development, and knowledge through the Art of Music and its practices.
Friendship
We believe that by providing an environment for friendship, our vocalists will improve their self-esteem, character, and confidence.
Whether on stage or in rehearsal, 806 Voices is a place where young people find their voice and use it to make something beautiful together.

806 Voices Co-Executive Directors
Chrissa Bowles & Laura Dangerfield

Chrissa Bowles A lifelong lover of kids and community, she has coached about every sport under the Texas sun, cheering just as loud for the underdog as the MVP and cheered on kids from the sidelines for years. Whether she is mentoring young athletes, advocating fiercely for displaced children, or jumping into her next creative project, Chrissa always has her hands (and heart) in something that will have influence.
Chrissa is a powerhouse of passion, purpose, and just the right amount of sass. With a bachelor’s degree in business and over a decade of experience as a dedicated paralegal. Before trading in her apron for motions, pleadings, and demand letters, she honed her hustle waiting tables and learning the art of reading people—skills she still uses daily.
Known for her razor-sharp wit, bold sass, and unstoppable energy, Chrissa is a relentless advocate, a loyal friend, and the kind of woman who will move mountains for those she loves. She is a proud mom to Jacey, Jaxon and Jordyn and a doting “CoCo” to two precious grandsons (Barry and Benny) who light up her world.
If you are looking for someone with grit, grace, and a heart that never quits—look no further than Chrissa Bowles.
Laura Dangerfield began her passion for music in her second grade music class. She enjoyed singing throughout school and was part of Boerne High School's mixed chorus her sophomore through senior years. Since then she has earned a B.A. in mass communication and a M.A in communication from West Texas A&M.
Laura enjoys serving in her community through projects with First Methodist Church in Canyon and now 806 Voices. She has worked with local organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, High Plains Food Bank, Center City, and the Canyon Area Library. From serving to storytelling, Laura enjoys working with children and the arts.
Her family and students inspire her to build up our community for a beautiful tomorrow. Laura is a homeschool educator and an adjunct professor who delights in the challenges and rewards of teaching. Her husband Travis is her biggest supporter. Together they have opened their home to family, friends, and fur-babies whenever there is a need.
Dedicated and diligent, Laura has big ideas for 806 Voices and is honored to serve on our team to create a space for young vocalists to come together.
